Dear Residents, Family and Friends:
On behalf of The Springs at Pacific Regent we are sending this email to update you on what is happening in the facility with respect to our COVID-19 status. Specifically at this time we have still only have 2 patients who have tested positive for the virus on our third floor. On Sunday June 28th we had one patient test positive which prompted us to do a full facility sweep, testing all facility staff and patients on the third floor. The results showed that we had one other patient on the third floor that tested positive for COVID-19. Since last week we have received all the test results back for the patients and a majority of the staff members in the facility which all came back as negative. The last staff member to test positive was on March 30th, and the last in-house patient to test positive was on Monday June 29th. We currently have relocated those two patients to our COVID positive floor and we have isolated anyone that they came in contact with. We have notified the State and County Departments of Public Health, and will also include this information in our daily updates to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. We will also continue with the implementation of our robust infection prevention and control program, which includes such interventions as staff wearing masks at all times while in the facility; vigorous hand hygiene; infection surveillance and prompt response to identified changes in condition; frequent assessment of patients per shift and per day; use of PPE with positive or presumed positive patients; screening and assessment of all staff and essential medical visitors prior to entry into the building; and social distancing. We are currently working on a way for family member to visit their loved ones outside our facility. This would be done through a transparent barrier and we will keep you posted on when this becomes available.
We thank you for your continued support as we work to keep our residents and staff safe during these challenging times. Of course, please do not hesitate to contact us at the Facility if you have any questions at all – our phone number is (858) 625-8700.
Thank you,

Re: COVID-19 Virus / UPDATE
Dear Residents, Family and Friends:
On behalf of the entire team at The Springs at Pacific Regent, we want to thank you for allowing us to care for you or your loved one. We recognize the high level of trust that you place in us, and we are committed to providing excellent care to those whom we have the privilege to serve.
As you are most likely aware, the country is currently united in its attempt to navigate the challenges presented by the COVID-19 virus. Of course, and since the outset, we at The Springs have consistently been following the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control, including following strict handwashing procedures and wearing personal protective equipment when indicated by the resident’s presenting condition. We are also current with the CDC recommendations, and update our protocols as new information becomes available. Likewise, we remain in close contact with the local and state health departments, and appreciate their ongoing guidance and support.
We have now learned that one (1) of our residents has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Although this resident is not currently in the Facility, we are taking every precaution to protect our current residents, staff and visitors. As part of our efforts to manage this development, we will continue with following the guidance provided by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in the restriction on visitation; these restrictions have been in place since March 14, 2020. We remain happy to facilitate virtual visitation by phone or FaceTime, and encourage you to remain in contact with your loved ones without in-person visitation until such time as we are able to welcome you back.
In addition to the visitor restriction, we are continuing to be proactive regarding any infections that could impact our community. For your information, we have listed below a sampling of some of the ways in which we are responding to the COVID-19 situation:
Please know that we are all fully engaged in taking action to minimize the possible exposure associated with this virus. We thank you for your continuing confidence, and for helping us in our attempts to keep our residents and staff safe. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions, concerns or requests for assistance. We will keep you updated as additional information becomes available.
